Memory:

Mr. Yood, teaching Journalism, had us write our own obituaries - not much to note in a sophomore, but his stories of volunteer teaching at a local prison sure lived things up! It was a great class.

Memory:

Ms. Monahan, english, had us write weekly journals, which were collected and reviewed by her. I made mine a soap opera of who liked who, etc, just changed the names to those from Alice in Wonderland, to protect the not-so-innocent. Probably the most interesting writing I did in HS!

Memory:

Mr. Ganci, Band. He was SOO in love with old Chicago tunes, but I can never hear "Eye of the Tiger" without recalling my clarinet part! The year the uniform changed from traditional to maroon sweatshirts too.

Memory:

Charlie Harrington - ass't phys ed dept head - taught a class called Survival. How to start a campfire, etc then sent us out into the woods for 3 days with nothing but a jug of water, a plastic tarp, a book of matches and 1 frozen whole chicken! Certainly the best phy ed class I ever took.

Memory:

Mr. Pasquale Tassone, Band and orchestra teacher extraordinaire! Taught me how to march...and march...and memorize my sheet music. Remember Band Trips - before they became a movie cliche?
